COOKED CHOCOLATE ICING 
2 1/2 sqs. baking chocolate
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Boil and stir constantly for five minutes or until soft ball forms when dropped into cold water. Then remove from heat and beat by hand with a spoon, adding one teaspoon butter and one teaspoon vanilla. Beat until thick enough to spread on cake. It doesn't have to be too thick, it will thicken while spreading.
