PORTUGUESE DOUGHNUTS 
2 c. Bisquick
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 tbsp. of lemon juice
5 slices of white bread (cut in 30 to 40 pieces)
Sugar

Heat fat or oil to 375 degrees in deep fat fryer or kettle. Stir together baking mix, milk, eggs and lemon juice until smooth.

Dip bread pieces into batter. Fry in hot fat until golden brown. Drain; roll in sugar. Serve hot.
