TEXAS PANHANDLE CABBAGE SALAD 
1 lg. head savoy cabbage, shredded
8 to 10 green onions, sliced
1 bell pepper, diced

Prepare greens ahead and chill.

TOPPING:

1 pkg. Ramen noodles, broken up
3/4 c. sliced almonds
1/2 c. sesame seeds
2 tbsp. butter

Toast, cool and sprinkle with seasoning packet from noodles. Can do ahead and store in a cool place.

DRESSING:

1 c. salad oil
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. rice vinegar or white vinegar
1 tsp. pepper
1 or 2 tsp. salt

Can also be made ahead. Toss all with dressing at the last minute. Serves 16 to 20.
