GRANDMA'S BREAD STUFFING FOR TURKEY 
1 1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. onion, finely chopped
1 c. celery, finely chopped

Saute 5 to 10 minutes.

12 to 16 c. stale bread cubes
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning

Melt butter. Add onion and celery. Saute until soft but not browned. Combine with bread cubes which have been soaked in water for 5 minutes and squeezed out, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning in skillet. Mix thoroughly. Taste and correct seasonings according to personal taste. Pack loosely in main body and neck cavity just before roasting turkey.
