STUFFED DATE COOKIES 
1 lb. soft pitted dates
48 walnut halves
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Put nut inside dates. Cover with dough. Put on cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees 8-10 minutes. Cool.

FROSTING:

1/3 c. butter

Heat to boil until light brown, about 6 minutes).

Stir in:

2 c. powdered sugar (sifted)
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Add hot water until easy to spread.
