CHOCOLATE ALMOND CHIPS 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. roasted diced almonds
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 (14 oz.) bar Baker's German sweet chocolate, broken in pieces

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Combine ingredients except chocolate in large mixing bowl. Mix at low speed or by hand until dough forms. Spread in pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or to golden brown. Melt chocolate with 3 tablespoons of water over low heat. Drizzle on cookies. Cool slightly; cut warm. Makes 4 1/2 dozen 1 inch square.
