FRIED PIE PASTRY 
1 (13 oz.) can Pet milk
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
5 c. flour
1 c. shortening and 1 tbsp.
1 tbsp. sugar

Makes 20 pies.

Mix milk and eggs, set aside. Sift flour, salt and sugar. Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add egg, milk mixture. Toss lightly to just moisten dry ingredients. Roll in wax paper. Chill for 30 or 40 minutes. Roll pastry on floured board into 6 inch circles, fill with fruit, fry in hot oil.
