2 lb. round steak or cubed meat
4 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper to taste
1 c. celery
1 c. potatoes
1 c. diced carrots
1 can tomato juice or soup
1 c. peas
2 med. sliced onions

Cut beef into 1/2 inch cubes, salt and pepper and onions and bake at 350 degrees for about 4 hours or until very tender. Add necessary water to check while baking. About an hour before serving add tomato soup or juice, the cooked beef and juices, and 4 cups boiling water or hot tap water and all the vegetables. Cook and then simmer. The last 5 minutes, add the peas. Serve in bowls. Change recipe for family size. A favorite of hunters and all.
