2/3 cup olive oil
6 whole cloves peeled garlic
In a pyrex or microwavable bowl, combine garlic and stalks of Rosemary, whole stems of basil and thyme, chopped parsley, hot pepper flakes, etc.
Microwave for about 2 minutes on high. Cover with parchment or wax paper and allow to steep for 20 minutes. (Oil will be HOT!)
After oil has cooled, puree in blender.
This may be used to drizzle over roasted vegetables or cooked pasta.
To make a delicious mayonnaise, add 2 egg yolks to bowl of a food processor or blender along with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or red wine vinegar and 1 teaspoon dry mustard (or even wasabi powder!). Drizzle oil mixture in a thin stream through top until mixture thickens.
