PFLAUMENMUSS - HORST MAGERS 
1 lb. dried pitted prunes
1 lb. sugar
1/2 qt. water
2 tsp. cornstarch
Dash of nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger

Grind prunes. Bring water to a boil. Add sugar and spices and prunes. Stir and keep stirring, bring to a boil and boil slowly for 10 minutes; add cornstarch dissolved in cold water. Pour into jars. Serve with warm bread and butter.
