1 c. butter
2 c. chopped onion
4 c. chopped celery
1 clove garlic (opt.)
1/4 c. parsley, chopped
16 oz. mushrooms (opt.)
12 c. slightly dry bread cubes
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 well beaten eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. sage
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 c. chicken or turkey broth & diced giblets

Melt butter and saute onion, celery, parsley, garlic and mushrooms. Pour over bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Add all seasons and toss together well. Pour in enough broth to moisten. Add beaten egg and mix together well. Stuff bird or put in casserole and bake covered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
