|PASTRY FOR A 9-INCH DOUBLE-CRUST PIE|
2 1/4 c. flour
2/3 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cold water
Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut shortening into flour with a pastry blender until it becomes coarse. Add water and mix until all blended and in a ball. Roll dough out and place in a pie plate.
