QUICK BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 
6 lg. cucumbers, sliced
4 onions, sliced
1/4 c. salt
1 pt. white vinegar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed

Mix cucumbers, onions and salt and let stand 1 hour. Drain thoroughly. Cook vinegar, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed for 3 minutes after sugar has dissolved. Pack the vegetables in jars, add hot vinegar mixture to overflow and seal immediately. Let cool and store.
