SHOOFLY CAKE 
4 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. Grandma's molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. boiling water

Mix flour, sugar, butter together making crumbs. Save 1 1/2 cups of crumbs. Add molasses, baking soda and hot water to crumb mixture. Batter will be thin. Pour in a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
