HERB PIE CRUST 
1/3 c. shortening
2 tbsp. butter, room temperature
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cold water
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. mixed herbs (oregano, thyme, marjoram, parsley, etc.)

Cut shortening and butter into flour, herbs and salt with pastry blender. Sprinkle with water, stirring until a ball forms. You may not need all the water. Roll and place in pan or tart cups. Use for main dishes and appetizers.
