|JULIE'S BARBECUE COUNTRY STYLE RIBS|
1 c. water
1 c. barbecue sauce
2 c. ketchup
1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. sweet pickle juice or vinegar
1 tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Combine ingredients in a medium saucepan. Heat to boiling and stir constantly until sugar melts. Place 4 pounds country style spare ribs in a shallow roasting pan or 9x13 cake pan. Cover ribs with the above sauce. Cover pan with foil.
Bake at 350°F for 3 to 4 hours.
Note: These may be done on the grill or in a smoker; lower temperature to 240°F and cook until very tender (it will take several hours longer, but hey, this is slow food!
