VINETARTA (ICELANDIC CAKE) 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. sweet milk
5 c. flour
1 tsp. ground cardamom

Cream sugar and butter, add eggs and other ingredients. Roll out and bake in round cake pans. Put together with prune filling.

FILLING:

3 c. prunes
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water

Boil prunes, sugar, and water until prunes are tender. Remove pits and mash.
