Pastry for 2 crust pie (homemade or packaged)
6 c. apples
1/2 pt. fresh raspberries
3/4 c. sugar (1/2 white and 1/2 brown)
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. lemon rind
1 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line deep dish pie pan with bottom crust. Combine ingredients in bowl (except butter). Pour into pie crust. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust. Cut steam vents. Bake 40 to 50 minutes until apples are tender and crust is brown.
