LOW - SODIUM, LOW - CHOLESTEROL
BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES
 
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg whites
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. cake flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. low-sodium baking powder

Combine sugar and oil into mixing bowl. Add egg whites and beat well. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Fold sifted dry ingredients into mixture. Bake in greased 8 x 10 inch pan until golden brown or 25 to 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Yield: 8 servings.
