1 1/2 c. croutons
3/4 lb. sausage, fried and drained
6 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 pepper, chopped
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Place croutons in well-greased casserole dish. Layer half of the sausage, onions, peppers and cheese onto this. Also mushrooms, if you are using them. Repeat layer. Combine milk and eggs and pour over all. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight.
One hour before serving next morning, bake in 325 degree oven uncovered.
