PECAN NUT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. pecan meal
3 egg whites, beaten

Cream butter, add sugar and beat until smooth. Add beaten egg yolks and mix well. Combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts. Mix well and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 for 45 minutes.
