DO-IT-YOURSELF BISCUIT MIX 
9 c. unbleached flour
1 1/4 c. buttermilk powder
1/3 c. baking powder
4 tsp. salt
2 c. vegetable shortening
1/4 c. brown sugar

In a large bowl combine flour, buttermilk powder, baking powder and salt. Add shortening and blend in with either a heavy duty mixer or a pastry blender. When well blended, it will resemble corn meal. Store the mix in a tightly covered container. It will keep 12 weeks on the pantry shelf and 6 months in the refrigerator. Makes 12 cups.
