ITALIAN MEATBALLS AND SPAGHETTI 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. plain dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper

SAUCE:

1/2 c. chopped onions
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and crushed
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 1/2 tsp. each: basil and sugar
1/2 tsp. each: garlic powder and oregano
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

In bowl, combine meatball ingredients. Shape into 20 - 1 1/2 inch balls; place in baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes; drain.

In large saucepan, saute onions in oil until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Simmer while meatballs bake. Add drained meatballs to pan; simmer, covered an additional 20 minutes. Stir in cheese and serve over hot spaghetti. Makes 5 servings.
