LAYERED PECAN PIE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 9" unbaked pie shell
1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
3 eggs
1 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 3 ingredients; beat until smooth. Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla; beating until combined. Spoon into pie shell. Sprinkle with pecans.

Combine 3 eggs, corn syrup, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla; beat well and pour over pecans. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes to 40 minutes or until set. Cover edges with foil until the last 15 minutes. The top might get too brown so I watched and then I put a piece of foil shaped round over top but not over edges.
