CLAM CHOWDER 
10 potatoes, peel & chop into sm. squares
5 cans clams, drained
2 celery stalks, chopped
12 pieces of lean bacon
White onion, minced
Pepper

Boil potatoes until soft. Separate cooked potatoes into two piles. Mash one pile and put in a cooking pot with the "unmashed" pile. Add clams.

In pan, fry celery, bacon and onion. Add to potatoes and bring to a boil. Turn heat down, cover pot and simmer for 2 hours.
