OKLAHOMA CHERRY DESSERT 
1 stick butter
1 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling

Melt butter and mix 1/4 cup sugar, flour, and 1/2 cup of nuts. Press into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes at 375 degrees or until brown. Mix cream cheese and 1 cup powdered sugar until creamy. Add Cool Whip. Spread this mixture over cooled crust. Top with cherry pie filling. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup nuts. Refrigerate. Serves 12-16.
