ITALIAN COFFEE CAKE 
STEP 1:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

STEP 2:

Add 3/4 cup oil to dry ingredients. Mix well.

STEP 3:

Take out 3/4 cup of dry ingredients and add:

1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon

Set this mixture aside.

STEP 4:

To remaining dry ingredients, add:

1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. sour milk (1 c. milk with 2-3 tsp. vinegar)

Stir and blend well. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch pan. Sprinkle nut mixture over the top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
