HEARTY BEEF CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. round steak, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
2 tbsp. Crisco oil
1 c. onion, chopped
1 clove minced garlic or 1 to 2 tsp. juice
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can (1 c.) seasoned tomato sauce
1 (3 oz.) can (3/4 c.) sliced or chopped mushrooms & broth
1 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Brown meat in oil, add onion and garlic and cook until tender, but not brown. Add flour and mix. Mix all ingredients well. Place in 2 quart casserole and bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Serve over rice.

OVEN BAKED RICE:

1 c. rice (dry)
2 1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter

Mix in 1 quart casserole, cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
