COCONUT SOAK CAKE 
5 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour

TOPPING INGREDIENTS:

3/4 stick butter
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
Additional coconut, shredded

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix eggs, sugar, oil, nut, vanilla, and flour well. Beat 5 minutes with mixer. Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Just before done, boil butter, water, sugar, and coconut flavoring and pour over cake as soon as its removed from the oven. Top cake with additional coconut.
