PEGGY'S DELIGHTFUL DESSERT 
3 egg whites
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. Ritz cracker crumbs
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. German sweet chocolate bar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Beat egg whites and vanilla to soft peaks. Add baking powder and 3/4 cup sugar. Fold in shaved chocolate (save 2 tablespoons for topping) along with cracker crumbs and nuts. Put into greased 9 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

Whip cream with remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla; add 2 tablespoons sugar. Spread whipped cream mixture over dessert and sprinkle with reserved 2 tablespoons chocolate.
