CHRISTMAS QUICK BREAD 
1/2 c. instant dry milk
3 c. sifted flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 finely cut candied fruits
2 tbsp. soft butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. finely chopped nuts

Sift together dry milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Add fruit and toss lightly until pieces of fruit are coated with flour mixture. Cream together butter, sugar and egg until light and fluffy. Stir in water. Add flour mixture and nuts and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 70 minutes. When cool, frost.
