KENTUCKY POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. hot water
1 1/2 c. oil
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 c. crushed pineapple & juice
1 c. pecans, chopped

Mix all the above ingredients, except egg whites, pineapple and pecans. Add pineapple with juice and chopped pecans. Then fold in egg whites (stiff). Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 300 degrees.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all above ingredients in a pot and bring to a full boil. Take cake out of oven and stick with toothpicks. Pour glaze over cake while still hot. Let cool, then turn out of pan.
