TRULY GREAT MEATLOAF 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. mild pork sausage
4 slices white bread, cubed
2 slices rye bread, cubed
1 c. half & half
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 onion
2 ribs celery
1 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. Worcestershire
1/2 c. red bell pepper
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper

Saute onion, celery and red pepper in butter until soft. In large bowl, beat eggs and milk. Add all ingredients. Pack into large loaf pan. Pack quite firmly. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pan. Cool 10 more minutes before slicing.
