1 pkg. white cake mix
1/4 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped

Set aside 2/3 cup of the dry cake mix. In medium bowl, combine the remaining cake mix, softened butter and 1 egg. Stir by hand just until mixture is crumbly. Press into an ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

In medium bowl, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, 3 eggs and vanilla. Add the 2/3 cup dry cake mix; stir by hand until mixture is blended.

Spread evenly over baked crust in pan; sprinkle pecans on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until filling is set. Cool completely in pan. Cut into bars.
