LOX AND CREAM CHEESE SPREAD 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 tbsp. minced onion or shallots
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. minced parsley
1 tbsp. whipping cream
1 (3 oz.) pkg. smoked salmon or lox bits
Parsley sprigs (optional)
Rye crackers

Cream the first 6 ingredients together. Add more whipping cream if necessary for desired consistency. Chop salmon and fold into the mixture. Mound into serving bowl. Garnish with parsley or watercress.

Serve with rye crackers or small bread rounds.

Can be prepared a day in advance. Store refrigerated in an airtight container.
