GERMAN COFFEE CAKE 
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (15-19 oz.) can fruit pie filling
Confectioners' sugar
2 c. flour

Beat eggs until thick and frothy. Beat in sugar and butter until smooth. Stir in flour, salt and vanilla. Spread in half of batter in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread pie filling over batter, dot with remaining batter. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
