2 1/2 sticks butter
1/2 c. super fine sugar
2 oz. cornstarch and 14 oz. flour to equal 2 c.
Cream butter and sugar. Add flour mixture. Mix and press in ungreased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 50 minutes. (Do not over bake, they will look very light.) Cut into diagonals while hot and sprinkle with more super fine sugar. The key to this is no substitutions, must be butter and super fine sugar (not granulated or confectioners'). Super fine sugar is bar sugar and can be found at Harris Teeter and Krogers.
