CRISPY CRUST POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beat in one at a time
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. vanilla or lemon extract

Cream butter and Crisco then add sugar slowly one cup at a time. Cream until light and fluffy. Add one egg at a time beating well. Use mixer for creaming and mixing. Add salt to flour and add alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Put in COLD oven at 325 degrees. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Do not heat oven before, or open oven door.
