MAMA VAN'S PEAR RELISH 
1 peck pears (15 lbs.)
5 med. onions
6 bell peppers, 3 red & 3 green
2 lbs. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. mixed spices
1 tbsp. turmeric for color
5 c. vinegar (preferably cider)

Grind pears, onions, peppers. Add other ingredients. Cook 30 minutes after it begins to boil. Put in sterilized jars and seal.
