MERINGUE PUFFS 
2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
Few drops anise or vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Beat whites very stiff. Add sugar gradually. Fold in chocolate bits (or omit). Drop small teaspoon on lightly greased cookie tin. Put cookies in oven. Turn off oven immediately. Leave overnight. (Don't Peek.) Store only in paper bag (to keep dry).
