BREAD PUDDING WITH VANILLA SAUCE 
1 qt. coarse bread cubes
2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon

Soak bread in milk; set aside until cool. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes.

VANILLA SAUCE:

Cream 1/3 cup butter and 1 cup sugar; add 3 slightly beaten egg yolks. Add 1/3 cup boiling water and cook over low heat until thickened. Remove from fire; add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
