"TOP OF THE STOVE" CUSTARD 
2 c. milk
3 eggs (can use eggbeaters)
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Nutmeg

Beat eggs. Add milk, sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 5 heavy juice size glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place glasses in a large size pan of water, with the water no more than 1/2 way up side of glass. Place pan on top of stove, cover, and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and leave covered for at least 20 minutes. Custard will be set. Let cool and refrigerate. Serves 5.
