SCOTTISH TEA CAKES 
Taken as is from an elderly lady's post card. Put self rising flour in a bowl, about 2 cups. Then add 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of buttermilk, 3 tablespoons Crisco, 2 or 3 eggs. Doodle you out a hole in the flour and add all these things in the hole and work up to a dough. Use any flavoring you want and roll out and cut. Bake at 325 degrees or 50 until brown.
