ENGLISH ROCK COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 c. butter
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 (8 oz.) candied pineapple
6 c. pecans
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) candied cherries
2 (8 oz.) boxes dates

Cream butter and brown sugar together. Add beaten eggs. Add dry ingredients and butter-milk alternately. Add nuts and fruits to mixture. Mixture will be stiff. Drop on cookie sheet by teaspoonful.

Bake at 300 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown. Makes 10 to 12 dozen depending on size of drop. Delicious!
