BEER BATTER (TEMPURA) 
8-12 oz. your favorite beer (dark is best)
8-12 oz. flour
Salt to taste

Use equal measurements of beer and flour. Mix until smooth with wire whisk. Add salt to taste. Use batter to coat assorted vegetables as for tempura, as a terrific onion ring batter, sliced zucchini or whole mushrooms. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with Tempura sauce for assorted sliced deep fried vegetables or with a ranch style dressing for zucchini and mushrooms.

TEMPURA SAUCE:

Purchased tempura sauce or soy sauce sweetened to taste and diluted with water to cut some of the salty taste. Serve warm for dipping.
