1/3 to 1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
Mix and knead until smooth. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with scissors into small pieces. While preparing dough boil 2 quarts water and 1 teaspoon salt in a large kettle. To salted water add 2 medium potatoes, diced. When this has come to a boil, add the Knepfla and boil about 15 minutes. Drain and cover with 3 or 4 tablespoons melted butter.
