1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
2 med. cooking apples (1/2 lb.) unpeeled, cored & chopped
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Vegetable cooking spray
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. Add apples, stirring lightly to coat. Combine egg and vanilla; add to apple mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

Spoon mixture into a 9 inch pie plate coated with cooking spray. Arrange almonds as desired on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: 6 servings (about 172 calories per wedge).
