LOUISVILLE PECAN PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie crust
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. dark corn syrup
1/4 c. bourbon
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. pecan halves
Sweetened whipped cream

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat sugar, butter, corn syrup, bourbon, vanilla, salt and eggs. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Bake until set, 40 to 45 minutes. If crust is browning too fast, cover edge with strips of foil. Cover and refrigerate no longer than 24 hours. Serve with whipped cream.
