OYSTER OR SALMON STEW 
1 or 1 1/2 qts. milk
1 sm. can oysters or salmon
2 tbsp. butter
Salt
Pepper

Rinse saucepan in cold water. Put milk in pan and heat over medium heat until almost boiling; stir frequently to keep from scorching. (May need to reduce heat a little.) When hot add oysters or salmon and butter, salt and pepper to taste. Let cook about 5 to 8 minutes. Serve hot with crackers. For oysters, I put them in a frying pan with the butter and heat them until edges curl before adding to milk.
