4-6 halved chicken breasts
5-6 tbsp. butter
5 tbsp. flour
2 onions, chopped
1/2 to 1 lb. mushrooms
2 c. white wine
4 c. chicken broth, canned or rich homemade
Pepper and garlic to taste

Brown breasts in butter. Add spices, flour, onions, and mushrooms. Stir. Add wine and broth. Cover. Simmer on top of stove 25-35 minutes until chicken is tender.

Serve with rice if you like it. Cooking liquid makes a great sauce.
